Welcome to our hostel located in Huanchaco Beach, where there are many activities, beautiful sunsets and historical sites.  Huanchacho is the most attractive tourist destination in northern Peru.  It is only ten minutes from “The Capital of Spring” Trujillo, in northern Peru.

The panoramic beach of Huanchacho is characterized by its tranquility, far from the bustle of the city, yet close to everything. Come for the beach, sun, fishing pier and nightlife.  Near the fishing pier, buy genuine Peruvian handicrafts, barter with the locals for your best price.

The hostel is located in the center of Huanchacho, ½ Block to the excellent surf, oceanviews,  5 minutes to the Trujillo International Airport, 10 minutes to Trujillo and 5 minutes to Chan Chan, the pre-Incan archaeological ruins .

Today, sun bronzed fishermen head each morning with their nets tucked into “Caballitos de totora” the small boats woven from totora reeds.  The design of these peapod-shaped boats has not changed since the pre-Inca times.  The boats are in sharp contrast to the brightly colored surfboards which now share the same  large Pacific waves.

HISTORICAL HUANCHACHO

The history of Huanchacho dates from the time of the Mochicas.  We inherited the traditional small boats, “Caballitos de totora” used to this day for fishing, from them. The local fishermen are out everyday to the delight of the local, and international visitors.  Do not miss the  historic Church of Perpetual Aid, built on top of pre-Inca ruins. 

TRUJILLO CITY   (Capital of Spring)

Just 10 minutes away, this busy city has all the amenities and historical venues. The Plaza of Arms,  the colonial mansions with their ornate balconies, museums and original dancing horses.  Of course all the necessities are available:  banks, restaurants, hotels, supermarkets etc.
